- The battery label — it will state 36V or 48V.

2. Capacity (Ah) and range
Capacity determines your range — how far you can ride per charge. It's shown in amp-hours (Ah); common values are 7.5Ah, 10Ah, 13Ah and 15Ah. The higher the Ah, the further you go. You may also see watt-hours (Wh), which is the true measure of stored energy:
